Availability of medical marijuana is imminent in the state of Maryland. Registration for Medical Cannabis ID Cards expected to surge in coming weeks.

Friday marks the official launch of an effort five years in the making. In just a few days, at least four Maryland dispensaries are expected to receive their first stock of medical cannabis. Stock is expected to include both plant material and oils.

While roughly 15,000 Marylanders have registered for the Medical Cannabis ID Cards to date, that number is expected to sky rocket in the coming days and weeks. The availability of appointments with cannabis-register doctors will be at a premium with rapid increase in expected registrations.
